About Me
safety gear for ATVs

Some of the best times my family has had include going out into the wild on our ATVs and UTVs. I know that if I want to cheer up one of my teenagers, that all I have to do is go to the garage, start up a machine and rev it up a few times. As soon as they hear the rumbling of the engine, their troubles fade away and we head out into the woods for a ride. Safety is the most important part of riding for our family. We wear all of the latest safety gear. Find out about safety gear here on my blog.

What Are The Different Types Of Motor Homes?

Martin Castillo

The warm weather seasons are a very popular time for families to go camping. While pitching a tent out under the starts may sound fun, many people prefer the safer, more comfortable alternative of camping in a motor home. This provides many of the same comforts that are enjoyed at home while allowing you to enjoy the great outdoors. These are the different types of motor homes and the features they have to offer.

Class A Motor Homes

Class A motor homes offer the most comfort features available of any style. These motor homes are very roomy and have a wide variety of attractive amenities. Many have room for several people and are equipped with king sized beds, stoves, refrigerators, dining areas, sinks and showers.

Some newer Class A models even have modern features such as wide screen televisions, satellite systems, dishwashers, WiFi internet connections, full kitchens and full bathrooms. Some may also have expansions that pull out on one or both sides that make the living space even roomier. Class A motor homes are the closest thing to feeling like you are in your own home when your are actually on a camping trip.

Class B Motor Homes

Class B motor homes are also known as van campers. These motor homes are about the same size as a common conversion van vehicle. However, the roof of the camper is raised so there is more usable space. Many Class B motor homes include features such as a refrigerator, sink, hot water and a climate control system. They also have a comfortable sleeping area and many more advanced models may also have working toilets and showers.

Class B motor homes are substantially smaller than Class A styles. However, they also offer comfortable features for camping. Class B motor homes are also as easy to maneuver as a regular van and can be easily driven on errands when you need to leave the campsite.

Class C Motor Homes

Class C motor homes often have many of the same features as a Class A version. However, they are not usually as large as a Class A motor home. This type of motor home is attached to a truck chassis and the cab of the truck is a separate area than the living space of the camper. There is usually plenty of room for sleeping, preparing and enjoying meals and relaxing and watching television in a Class C motor home.

Class C motor homes may also have slide out expansions to increase the living quarters. Many are also equipped to pull a small vehicle behind the camper for running errands while on a camping trip.

Each of these types of motor homes provide an excellent way to enjoy a camping trip away from home. Choosing the motor home that best meets your needs may depend on the size of your family, how frequently you will be using it and which features you want available during your camping trip.
